Sorry, this offer is for adults and teenagers only. Most of our guests are going through a fair bit of stress, so it is important for us to maintain a calm and peaceful home environment for them to relax in.  We suggest that families with young children talk to the Family Resource Centre staff at the ACH for accommodation options , and the possibility of staying at the Ronald McDonald House.  If  they are full and you need to find a hotel - make sure you ask for their "medical rate".  Families with children in the ACH typically get significantly reduced rates.

About us

Brenda has worked at the Foothills Hospital as a physical therapist and Dave has had a kidney removed due to cancer. We've "been there, done that" and know that right now you just need privacy, a place to sleep, a healthy meal to start your day and a way to get to and from the hospital. We are just 10 minutes away from the NW medical facilities and are offering to help you with those basic needs.

The services we offer have been approved through the City of Calgary, Alberta Health Services and through our insurance company based on bed and breakfast regulations.  Our home is a pet free and smoke free environment.

Who we host:

We only host people who are in Calgary due to a medical situation.  Most of our guests are family members who are supporting someone who is a patient in the hospital.  People who are in town to receive care or to attend medical appointments are also welcome to stay with us, as long as they are either able to be independent with their physical and medical care, or they have arranged to have a support person stay with them to assist them.

We welcome you as our guest if you are:

  • able to climb 3 steps to enter our home; there is a hand rail on the front steps.

  • independent with your physical and medical care; seniors will find it easy to move about in our home, as it is on one level.

  • adult age or teenagers; sorry, we can not accommodate young children.

  • free from infection and colds.

  • willing to wash your hands and sanitize your phone each time you enter our home; thank you for your understanding on this matter, as we host many immune suppressed guests.
